13 The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. 14 For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 NASB
This book of Wisdom concludes with a very sharp warning, you can’t hide. Every act in this life will be judged.
The evil that is done, even if the person got away with it, will one day be known. The same is for the good that was done. How much good is done and it goes unrecognized?
But this judgement happens in light of The Judgement. Not only is every act judged, but so it will be with your life. Did you live for Jesus? Or did you squander your time here on temporary pleasures and glory?
On that day, Judgement Day, nothing will be hidden. You won’t be able to hide from Him. He will see right through your speech. He will see straight through to your heart.
Take a moment and think about your life with God. Do you know what it takes to live rightly? Do you know what God REALLY requires and asks of His children?
Don’t assume you know! Find out for yourself! Get into His Word and spend time with Him. There is no substitute for this! Don’t assume because you haven’t killed someone, or use drugs, you heard some preacher on Oprah, or you’re just a good person that you are right in God’s sight. That won’t do it!
Don’t delay in giving and living your life to/for Jesus. Nothing in this temporary life is worth eternity.
It is the difference between Heaven and Hell. You’ll spend eternity somewhere. And from what the Bible says about Hell, you do not want to go there!
Lord, let everyone reading this understand that eternity is coming and Heaven and Hell are real places. Through Your Holy Spirit, move on hearts and minds to seek after You and enter into a right relationship with You.
