Glorify God • Magnify Him in this World!

I know that after I am gone fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.
Acts 20:29 NET

Paul warned the church elders at Ephesus that there was going to be a time when wolves, false teachers, those who wouldn’t have their best interests at heart, would come and do damage to the flock.

Understand that this damage wasn’t aimed at non-believers, but believers.

The same is true today. Wolves, false teachers, those who only want to please themselves, influence congregations and other believers.

They show their true colors in time, but until then, they do damage to other believers and to the Kingdom of God.

Can you identify them? Do you know enough of God’s Word to spot false teaching? Are you obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit that He could cause you to stop and identify those who want to use the faith for their own benefit, and in doing so, preach things that are contrary to the Word of God?

Until Jesus returns, we will always deal with wolves and false teachers. Take responsibility for your faith, use spiritual discernment and evaluate everything against the Word of God.

This means that you need to be in the Word of God. This means that you need to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

We are talking about people who speak about eternal things, but twist the Scripture to benefit themselves.

This is too important to neglect!

Paul warned it would happen and it does…still today.

Lord, help me to stay sensitive to the Holy Spirit so that I can discern your true Word. You alone are my source.
