For our momentary, light suffering is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison because we are not looking at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen. For what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 NET
Life is not always easy. In this world, you will encounter hardships and pain. This is even more so for those who believe, because all Hell would come against you too!
But whatever we experience, is nothing compared to the great glory we will experience in Eternity. The things we face here, on Earth, are a drop in the bucket compared to not having to keep time.
Remember that this world is temporary. It is fading away. But what can be known in the spiritual, our relationship with Jesus, the leading of the Holy Spirit, the promise of Heaven, is more real than what you see in front of you right now!
Although it can be hard, you must focus on Jesus. The days and times will come and go, but He is forever constant!
Are you focusing too much on things that are “seen?” Are they getting your attention off of the Lord? Get your focus back on Jesus.
Don’t neglect your prayer time. Don’t neglect the Word of God. Don’t neglect the fellowship with the Saints. Many times these are the first to go when we start to encounter stress in our life.
Instead, uncertain times is when we should press in even more! Let your confidence and strength come from Him! His resources are unlimited!
Lord, thank You that I have You to help me and strengthen me. Give me grace, even during troubling times, to seek You even more.
