Scripture
These are the ones who are beside the road where the word is sown; and when they hear, immediately Satan comes and takes away the word which has been sown in them.
Mark 4:15 NASB
Observation
It’s not a good thought that there are people that would allow Satan to take the Word that was sown in them. The Scripture says that this happens immediately!
There are two big thoughts here. First, Satan doesnt want you anywhere near the Word of God. The minute the Word starts to work in your life, he will come and take it away. You have to ask yourself why?
That is the second thing, the Word of God is powerful! Satan knows that if you start to believe and trust in the Word of God, he will lose influence in your life… and you need to understand and believe that your life is being influenced by the things of God or Satan, it is spiritual and very much real!
Application
You need to be active in the Word of God daily! It is not enough to do it on Sunday or when you need some encouragement. The Word of God is powerful and you need that in your life if you are going to combat the schemes of the devil and the worries of this world.
If you dont have a daily reading plan, then you must get one. Don’t neglect the Word of God! Start today!
Prayer
Lord, thank You gor Your Word. Thank You that You speak through Your Word and in it, we have words of life. Help us to read and understand Your Word through the power of the Holy Spirit.
