“At that time Michael, the great prince who watches over your people,
will arise. There will be a time of distress unlike any other from the nation’s beginning up to that time.
But at that time your own people,
all those whose names are found written in the book, will escape.

Observation
The Book of Daniel deals with some really heavy prophecy. Many don’t like to read it or study it because it is hard to understand. But just because something is hard, should we not attempt to understand it?
Here, Daniel is told that the end will be very distressing for his people, the Jews. It actually says, “unlike any other” time. The Jews have gone through some terrible times in the past, but this will be worse!
But this verse ends with great hope! Those whose names are found in the book will escape.
Don’t you want to make sure your name is found in the book?
Application.
A few things here…
1. You shouldn’t shy away from End Time prophecy. Jesus devoted time and referenced prophecy when He walked the Earth. See Matthew 24.
2. You shouldn’t be fearful of “the end.” The end is what we are all waiting for. This world will never compare to what the Lord has prepared for us.
3. You should live a holy and obedient life. Don’t play games with your spiritual life.
4. Jesus is coming soon! The signs point to the Second Coming if you’re paying attention!
Prayer
Lord, help us to be faithful in walking out our relationship with You. Thank You that this world isn’t the end…
