Glorify God • Magnify Him in this World!

The Right Alignment

Scripture
May the Lord reward your work, and your wages be full from the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to seek refuge.”
Ruth 2:12 NASB

Observation
Boaz recognized one important thing in Ruth, she was aligning her will to the will of God. She could have stayed in Moab. She could have not gone to the fields to glean with the poor. But she did and she worked hard. But more importantly, she did it according to God’s Word. She aligned herself and her will with what God wanted.

A few verses down in Ruth, Boaz tells his servants to look after Ruth, including leaving behind sheaves so it would be easier to glean. That blessing opened up the eyes of Noemi, Ruth’s mother-in-law, to know that Boaz looked favorably on Ruth.

Application
When we align our will with the will of God, He comes in and blesses beyond what we can imagine.

But God is not a magical genie that will grant your every request because you ask. He blesses His people. He blesses those who are obedient to His Word.

So it is important to know His Word. How much time do you give to reading and then obeying God’s Word? Could you say that you are aligning yourself, your thoughts and actions to what God says?

Why not? Why wait? He is the God and Creator of everything…and He wants to have a personal relationship with you. What is holding you back from committing your life to Him? I can assure you that nothing is more important!

Prayer
Lord, let everyone reading this know how important it is to completely give their life to You. Convict them of their sin and forgive them, so that they can align their will to Yours.

Peace
Todd
