Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith; if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. Romans 12:6-8 NASB
Who doesn’t like receiving a gift? There are gifts that we receive from certain people that are super special to us, like a homemade gift from a child or something passed down by a parent or grandparent.
But what if the gift giver was God? How awesome would God’s gift to you be?
I’m not talking about the free gift of Grace, which is the most important. I’m talking about a special gift that God determined just for you!
The Father has given every one of His children special gifts. These gifts are to be “exercised” to serve Him in this world.
And because God is God and is All-Knowing and doesn’t make mistakes, His gift to you is perfect and exactly what He desired for you.
How do you find out the gift He gave you?
Well, what do you love? What brings you great joy? What work doesn’t feel like work to you? What have you done in service to others that people say you do a good job, but you think is really no big deal?
All of these thoughts and responses, when made prayerfully and with discernment will lead you to what the Father has given you as a gift.
And more than that, you get to serve Him with your gift!
Are you serving Him with the gift He has given you? This is for everyone, not just preachers or full-time ministry workers!
Open the gift today and put it to eternal use!
Father, You knew me before I was born. You knew exactly which gift I would receive. Help me to use my gift to serve and bring You glory.
