Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, as the Lord had said.

Being able to see the reasoning behind something that is happening is important.
You might find yourself asking, “why is this happening?” And the ability to understand what is behind it all will allow you to adjust.
The magicians in Pharoah’s court understood that the third plague that God released on the land of Egypt was truly from God. The first two plagues were able to be repeatable with their magic “arts.”
But the third plague, gnats, well that was the finger of God!
In telling Pharaoh that, they were saying “we understand that this is bigger than us. There is a higher power at work here.”
Have you ever noticed something going on in your life that was bigger than you, that was the finger of God right in your midst.
What response did you have as a result? Was it one of awe? Did it draw you closer to Jesus? Did it have a lasting effect in transforming your life and caused you to have bigger faith?
Or was it just a nice thought or moment and it passed like something else that wasn’t too significant?
Jesus said the Father was always working, and He was too. God is always working around you. The finger of God is evident all the time.
How do you respond to Him?
Father, thank You for allowing me to see You in this world. Let me always adjust to You. And let me never treat Your work as ordinary.
