You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble;
You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah. Psalms 32:7 NASB
Have you ever been in an intense moment and didn’t realize you were holding your breath? Then when the moment passed, you exhaled deeply because your body just relaxed?
In times of trouble, we tend to tense up, hold our breath and wait for the relief that comes when the moment passes. The problem is that some times of trouble last longer than we like.
But how do we get there? What is the answer?
You get to your hiding place! You get to where the Lord keeps you from trouble, real trouble!
Your hiding place is right in His presence. Go, close the door behind you and seek Him. As you let go and let Him take control, you will see what He will do and how He “preserves” you.
It might not be like you planned, but He knows better than you.
On the other side, the exhale comes, the songs of deliverance. It’s the understanding that He had you and that He saw you through.
But you have to go into your hiding place. It starts there!
Think about it!
Father, thank You that when troubles come, I have a place that You have reserved just for me, so that I can see Your salvation come to my rescue.
