For this reason we also, from the day we heard about you, have not ceased praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may live worthily of the Lord and please him in all respects—bearing fruit in every good deed, growing in the knowledge of God,

Observation
When you become a Believer, your desire should focus to please Him. The Father should be your biggest priority. Everything centers around Him.
The great thing is that you don’t have to search high and low to figure out what He desires. The Scripture says that Paul was praying for the Believers to be filled with all knowledge of His will and spiritual wisdom.
Instead of striving so hard, pray that the Father would reveal His will and spiritual wisdom and understanding to you. Then, the verse says, you can live a life worthily of the Lord and bear fruit.
Are you bearing fruit from living a life that is in tune with the spiritual wisdom and understanding of the Lord?
Application
It starts with prayer and continues in obedience. He will reveal Himself to you.
Why would you want to spend time in trying out all the other things in this life that don’t matter for eternity?
His wisdom, His understanding, His knowledge is better than anything that you will get here on Earth or on your own.
Ultimately, your life should be about bearing fruit for Him. He doesn’t want to just reveal Himself to you so that you can get a warm fuzzy feeling inside. He wants to reveal Himself so that He can use you.
At that point, you need to be obedient.
Prayer
Lord, help me to quiet myself in Your presence so that I can hear Your voice, gain Your wisdom and be used by You in this world.
