What is your standard for the way you act and think?
Do you form your opinions on what you see in modern society? Does TV and the internet help to form your thoughts and ideas? Do you listen to others, maybe even the “new flavor of the month?”
For the Believer, there is only one voice that should speak into the way we believe and act. There is only one opinion that matters, God’s!
We can be wise in the world. We can have multiple degrees behind our name. We can obtain the highest honors bestowed on man and it means nothing compared to what God says and what He desires.
It’s not hard. You don’t have to go to years of Bible School. Just start obeying and living for Jesus. Choose to get closer to Him by praying and reading the Word. Let the Holy Spirit lead you in the simplicity of obedience and you will find yourself in a place where You desire His will more and more.
When it is all said and done, you want to know that you lived this life for His glory. That’s what will truly matter.
Are you truly living for His glory right now?
Father, let my life bring glory and honor to You. Help me to live this life in the simplicity of Your Word and obedience.
