Establish Your word to Your servant,
As that which produces reverence for You.

Observation
God is always true to His promises, His Word. When we realize that, we realize how awesome He is and small we are. We realize that we serve an awesome God, who allows us to draw close to Him. This realization produces reverence for Him.
Reverence is missing from today’s society. We don’t respect and reverent the Lord. Instead, we take what we want and throw out all the rest of who God is.
But when we reverent the Lord, we place Him in the proper place in our life…at the top. He should always be first!
Application
It’s when I get my eyes off of Him, when I start to put other things before Him. He should always be first!
I need to make sure that I do my part of staying close to the things of God. If I stay in the Word, if I’m reminded of His promises, this will happen. I will remember, reverent and rejoice in the Lord.
Prayer
Lord, help me to stay close to You. This world would try to pull me away, but I know that my true strength is in You. Grant me the understanding, through the Holy Spirit of Your Word.
