Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. James 5:17 NASB
When we read stories in the Bible, it is easy to think of the prophets, kings and disciples as these great leaders who influenced their world. But it is important to remember that they were regular people too.
The fact is, God uses regular people to accomplish His will on this Earth.
This is important because He wants to use you. Yes, that’s right, you!
He is just looking for people who will be obedient and seek to do His will.
This means that God’s purposes in the world are more important than you’re own. And this comes from a place that understands God is more important than anything else. He is your first priority.
So will you allow God to use you? Or will He pass you by, looking for someone who is desiring to be obedient and sold out to His will?
Father, help me to never miss what You desire to do through me. Help me to be discerning and sensitive to Your Spirit.
Peace, Todd
