Glorify God • Magnify Him in this World!

Proper Perspective

Today I invoke heaven and earth as a witness against you that I have set life and death, blessing and curse, before you. Therefore choose life so that you and your descendants may live!
Deuteronomy 30:19 NET

Choices, choices!

What do you want to eat? Where do you want to go? What do you want to watch? What do you want to be when you grow up?

We like choices. We like to have the ability to make the decisions in our life.

God doesn’t disappoint us in the arena either. He allows us to make the decision of how we want to live. Life or death, blessings or curses, which one will you choose?

Many will say, “those aren’t choices!” I mean, who would choose cursings and death?

It’s all about perspective. It’s all about where you’re standing and what is important to you.

If being obedient to the Lord is important to you. If following His ways are the driving force for your life, then you will easily see what Moses was talking about and see life and death, blessings and curses.

But if you don’t care about the Lord. If He doesn’t matter to you, then what Moses said would be curses won’t look like curses to you.

So you need to settle this question once and for all in your heart and mind, “Is God real or is He all make-believe?”

The answer to that question should determine how you choose!

As for me, I choose life! I’ve seen too much to know that God is real and active in my life.

And I can look back and see the blessings that He has provided, just like Moses said would happen.

And the cool thing is that this isn’t all there is. Real life and blessings are on the horizon. You can’t even begin to imagine what God has prepared for those who seek Him and love Him.

Choose life today!

Father, thank You that I can come to You from the right perspective. I can see the difference between life and death and I can choose correctly. I look forward to the day when You come back and we get to live eternally with You.
