Not one of the Lord’s faithful promises to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; every one was realized.
Joshua 21:45 NET
Promises can be powerful or they can be a reminder of inconsistency and not caring.
They become powerful when you can count on them. When the person who makes the promise is faithful and comes through with it, faith is built.
But when promises are continually broken and the person who makes them is not dependable, soon EVERY word that is spoken from this person is empty and a waste of time for the hearer.
God’s promises are always true!
As the Israelites finished consolidating the land of Israel, Joshua made the statement that all of God’s promises were fulfilled.
God accomplishes His Word!
So, it makes sense that the Believer should know and learn the promises of God found in His Word, because God is trustworthy to fulfill His promises.
With the understanding that God always comes through on His promises and knowing the promises that are in His Word, the Believer can stand strong in the Lord!
Spend some time getting to know the promises of God that are for you in His Word! This means you need to read and reflect on the Bible. Ask the Lord to reveal His Word through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Then you will say, like Joshua, every one of His promises were fulfilled in your life.
Father, thank You for Your Word. Let me stand on the promises You have given me. Thank You for being trustworthy to accomplish Your Word.
