In him the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
Ephesians 2:21-22 NET
The state of Christianity today is that many miss the part they play, specifically in church, in the overall plan.
Church attendance is so low now. “Christians” go to church 1-2 times a month, and they are considered faithful. Where is the commitment to Christ and His Church?
Paul provides an image to picture here. He says that we, Christians, are being joined together and being built up for a dwelling place for the Lord.
What kind of dwelling are you apart of where the bricks keep popping out? How can you truly be a part of God’s dwelling if you don’t participate and see your Christian brothers and sisters as more than just a casual aquaintance every so often?
The Church is a powerful force in this world. But it is seen as an old decrepit idea because so called “Christians” loved the world more.
Where do you stand?
There is no excuse for not being a part of a church that honors and glorifies God. There is no excuse for not volunteering and giving your time. There is no excuse for not supporting the church financially.
Check your priorities. Are you going to church an hour out of your week to do “your time?” Or do you really love your brothers and sisters and want to be there with them, ministering next to them?
Don’t wuss out! Jesus is coming back for His Church, His Bride. Why wouldn’t you want to be a part of that?
Lord, help Believers who are living a mediocre spiritual life. Help them to find true joy in the midst of their brothers and sisters in the Lord.
