Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me;
You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will save me.
Psalms 138:7 NASB
Do you turn to the Lord in your time of need? Usually, if it is bad enough, and there is no other hope, people will. But do you turn to the Lord as your first response?
We are all going to experience trouble at some point. But those who go to the Lord, will have His help and direction. God is mighty to save!
In those times, let the Lord revive you. Take time with Him and let Him come to help. He will stretch forth His right hand to save you…just trust and go to Him.
We normally fall back on that which we are most familiar with. This is why it is important to spend a good amount of time with the Lord. You want your first response, your most natural instinct, to go to God in prayer first, before anything else.
It always goes back to the basics…are you praying, reading the Bible and fellowshipping with the saints? Doing these basic things, consistently, will help you to build a strong relationship with the Lord.
Lord, when trouble comes, when time are tough, let my first reaction be to come to You. When times are good and I feel blessed, let me come to You as well, to worship and praise You for Your goodness.
