On this topic we have much to say and it is difficult to explain, since you have become sluggish in hearing. For though you should in fact be teachers by this time, you need someone to teach you the beginning elements of God’s utterances. You have gone back to needing milk, not solid food.
Hebrews 5:11-12 NET
You should be growing as a Christian. The sad fact of today’s Christian is that they are not!
We have all had experiences being around someone who wasn’t very mature. We ask, either out loud or maybe just to ourselves, “what is wrong with this person?”
Depending on their level of immaturity, it might even cause us to avoid them.
When we encounter an immature person, it is eventually evident.
The same happens to Christians. Eventually, their maturity in the faith comes out.
Immaturity in the faith delays and dwarf what God wants to do in you and through you. He has a plan for your life. He wants to use you.
Will you grow so He can use you more?
Growing in God is intentional. You should desire it with you while heart.
This means that going to church on Sunday isn’t enough. What would your physical health be like if you only fed it once a week?
We have so many resources in our modern age to help us learn and grow in the Lord. But first, you should be reading the Bible. You should pray. You should spend time in Christian fellowship.
You should stretch your faith and trust in Him. You should tell Him you want to grow spiritually. Then be prepared for what He wants to do.
Your physical health is valuable here. Your spiritual health is valuable here and in Heaven.
Lord, help me to grow in You. Let me look back on where You have taken me and how I have changed for You.
