For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
Psalms 139:13 ESV
When you think of knitting and sewing, you think of an older grandmother type, with two big needles, taking her time to make something for someone they love. They take their time. They don’t rush it.
God does that too! But He’s doesn’t make blankets and wraps. He makes people that can praise and glorify His name. He made you!
The Psalmist declares that his inward parts were formed in his mother’s womb by God. God plays a part and He knows you before your own mother.
God has also knitted the desire inside of you to know Him. It is part of who you are to have a personal relationship with Him. He has created you that way!
As you go about your day, as you live life, make sure you acknowledge and worship the one who knitted you together. He made you for a reason. He can help you know that reason if you seek Him.
You mattered enough to God back then that He would form you in your mother’s womb. You matter to Him now. He wants to form you into the person He desires.
Will you let Him?
Father, thank You for taking the time to make me exactly the way You desired. Help me to know You more and walk in the plan You created me for.
