There is nothing better for people than to eat and drink, and to find enjoyment in their work. I also perceived that this ability to find enjoyment comes from God. For no one can eat and drink or experience joy apart from him.

We all want to be happy. We all want to have joy!
The wisest guy who ever lived said it comes from God. You won’t have it apart from Him!
So you will spin your wheels, try super hard and try to live the American Dream, only to find yourself in the end, frustrated and depressed.
More work, harder work, doesn’t equal joy.
And don’t try to work hard and then find joy in something outside of everyday life, traveling, buying things, partying hard on the weekends, etc…
Work that is done in God’s will, work that is done with God’s heart, brings joy and fulfillment.
So maybe, before you get to work, you should see what God says!
Maybe before you spend a lot of time spinning and weaving your next move, you should try to perceive what God wants for you.
God has a plan for you. And His plan is better than you could imagine. Trust Him to lead you into life that is good and fulfilling.
Will today bring you joy? Why or why not?
Father, thank You that You are active in my everyday life. Allow me to perceive and walk in the plan You have for my life. I know that it will be better than anything I could imagine.
