Scripture
For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;
And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 NASB
Observation
Everything about God is great! He gives us a Son and we know that His Son isn’t going to be second rate or inferior. Instead, we realize that we get the very best.
We also learn that His government will be on His shoulders, not on anyone else. So this great Son will have a government that will be great too, and we will be a part of it! Unlike this current world and corruption, it is good to know what the future holds…and the future is great!
Application
I’m glad to know that this world isn’t all there is. Although I have faith in God, there is still corruption and evil on this Earth. But I need to live in light of my future home. I also need to invite as many as who want to come.
Prayer
Lord, thank you for my future. As I live in this world, help me to live in light of my future home and share with others my hope for them.
