Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
1 Timothy 6:12 ESV
The Christian faith isn’t for wimps! Paul told Timothy that he should fight!
Fighting implies a struggle, an opponent. When you are in a fight, you are on-guard, ready for the next move. You should be strategic and purposeful and remember what you’re fighting for.
Unfortunately, many Believers don’t fight. Many are on the sidelines, weak, unsure of the power that resides on the inside, given by Jesus Himself.
They need encouragement. They need to be around people that will fight with them. They need to be part of the Army of God.
Are you on the sidelines? Have you given up the fight?
Live in community with your brothers and sisters in the faith. Seek the Lord in prayer. Read His Word, which is the sword that you should carry!
You’re in a fight! Remember that!
Father, give me the strength to stay steady in the fight of faith. Help me to encourage and lift up those who it.
