I saw an amber glow like a fire enclosed all around from his waist up. From his waist down I saw something that looked like fire. There was a brilliant light around it, like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds after the rain. This was the appearance of the surrounding brilliant light; it looked like the glory of the Lord. Every time you see the Lord show up in the Bible, He is so Holy that whoever is involved falls down to the ground to worship Him.
This happens when others encounter angels too. But the angels tell the person on the ground to stand up, because they are servants just like them.
The point is that everyone recognizes that God is Holy and they are not. It is not a time to ask the great theological questions of all time. It is not a time to go into prayer request mode. It is a time to realize that they are in the Presence of God Almighty.
The fact is, because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, you have this ability to come into the Presence of God too. And when you come, you should understand what a privilege it is.
How do you approach God? Do you bring your list of demands? Do you complain? Do you worship? Do you ask for help?
In the Bible, only a select few were able to enter the Presence of God.
But you have been granted special access because of Jesus Christ.
How do you approach God?
Father, human words cannot express the thoughts and feelings one should have in entering your Presence. Help me to realize the privilege and awe of who You are.
