Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believe, you would see the glory of God?”
John 11:40 NET
When the Lord asks us to do something outside of our comfort zone, it is hard. It’s hard because we are not only dealing with our own comfort but also stretching our faith.
But the promise from Jesus is that you will see the glory of God!
Martha was operating from what she knew. Her brother died and was in the tomb for four days already. His body was already decomposing. Removing the stone wouldn’t bring a pleasant smell.
But then Jesus asked her to stretch her faith. And as a result of her obedience, she saw something most never see, a resurrected life, her very own brother!
And as a result of what happened, people gave glory to God!
Is your faith causing others to give glory to God?
When was the last time your faith was stretched?
God is moving and working all the time. Sometimes, we tune out because we are paying attention to other things around us, and not what God is doing.
Take time to pray and seek the Lord on what He wants you to “see” or focus on. Then ask Him how you are supposed to respond.
He might be asking you to stretch your faith so you can see the glory of God.
Lord, help us to see with Your eyes, so we can walk in obedience and see Your glory made manifest in this world.
