In a year’s time you carefree ones will shake with fear, for the grape harvest will fail, and the fruit harvest will not arrive. Tremble, you complacent ones! Shake with fear, you carefree ones! Strip off your clothes and expose yourselves— put sackcloth on your waist!
Isaiah 32:10-11 NET
Where do you TRULY place your trust?
Do you place your trust in your own ability? Do you trust stuff or the resources that seem plentiful at this moment?
All these things fail! At some point you won’t be able to do it. Your stuff will get old and breakdown and resources dry up.
For the Israelites, their trust was supposed to be in God, all the time! They always had trouble when they started trusting in themselves and what they had.
And God, doesn’t have a problem reminding you who you should place your trust in. He will get your attention! He will do whatever it takes to have you turn back to Him! Whatever it takes!!!
Why? Because He is some crazy, thunderbolt wielding God?
No! He gets your attention because He loves you so much and He knows that the very best place for you is right in the middle of His will!
Don’t be stubborn like the Israelites were in Isaiah’s day! Give Him all of your attention and trust. Make Him the number one priority in your life and you will understand how this life is to be truly lived out.
Trust Him! Everything else fails! God doesn’t!
Father, thank You for caring so much about me that You are willing to reach down from Heaven and set me on the right path. Help me live a life that trusts and seeks You always.
