Isn’t this what we told you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone so that we can serve the Egyptians, because it is better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!’”
Exodus 14:12 NET
The Israelites weren’t free from Egypt for too long before they started complaining to Moses.
Of course, God came through for them. But where was the faith and trust in the God that delivered them in the first place?
It’s so easy to get narrow focused when we are in the midst of turmoil. But we need to train ourselves to step back and see the full picture of what God has done in our lives.
When we do, we see a God who has been truly active in our lives. You may even recognize times that He was moving and helping you and you didn’t realize it.
He is a God that draws close to you. He loves you and wants the very best for you. Sometimes you don’t even know what the best is, but He does.
Trust that He has you. The God who created the universe can surely take care of your situation!
Take a moment to reflect on all the times He has come through for you. Ask Him to show you times that you didn’t even realize He was there.
Father, thank You that You protect, guide and save me. Lead me on Your path for my life. Help me to trust You more and more.
