Again, however, pay very careful attention, lest you forget the things you have seen and disregard them for the rest of your life; instead teach them to your children and grandchildren.
Deuteronomy 4:9 NET
We have such short memories. Sometimes it seems that we are only living for today and don’t consider the past when the Lord came through for us so many times!
It is easy to look at our circumstances and be overwhelmed when we take our eyes off of Jesus! Yes, our situation might seem bigger than we can handle. And it is! Because we are doing it on our own!
Keep your eyes fixed on Him!
Let Him direct your paths. Let Him guide you. But this means you need to stay close to Him and know what He desires for you.
The minute you veer off, the moment you start listening to something or someone else, is the time fear and worry settle in.
God is All-Powerful and mighty to save! Why wouldn’t you want Him in control?
Take your hands off the reins and give it over to Him. Seek His will. Read His Word. Pray and cry out to Him. Trust that He knows what you need, because He already does.
This way of living is so much better than constant worry and strife.
Be confident, not in your own abilities, but in His!
This is what Moses tried to instill in the people of Israel. This is the way to live!
Father, thank You for the realization that You are always in control. Help me to seal that understanding deep in my heart and mind, regardless of what I see in front of me.
