Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
From the east I will bring your descendants; from the west I will gather you. I will say to the north, ‘Hand them over!’ and to the south, ‘Don’t hold any back!’ Bring my sons from distant lands, and my daughters from the remote regions of the earth,
Isaiah 43:5-6 NET
One huge area that many Christians don’t value nowadays is prophecy. God let His people, and even other nations, know what was coming before it happened, as a sign that He was God!
Jesus did the same thing! Matthew 24 is a huge chapter that many don’t consider anymore.
There, Jesus phrophesied the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem. But He also prophesied future events. These events would come to pass at the end of the age.
True Biblical prophesy is like that! It has a current and future application.
Isaiah prophesied about a time when the Jews would be gathered back to Israel. This happened when Cyrus the Great decreed that the Jews could return to their homeland after the Persians conquered the Babylonian Empire.
But this prophecy also has a future connotation. It speaks to when the Jews would be gathered back to Israel later, after WWII.
No other nation in the history of the world has been conquered, scattered and then brought back together as a nation. This is the hand of God!
As we sit at the End of the Age, know that God is revealing Himself more and more. For those that are paying attention and for those who care, the time is short!
Maybe it is time for you to pay a little bit more attention to what is happening? Look how prophecy plays itself out in the Bible. It is revealed in politics and national turmoil. The hand of God is evident for people paying attention!
And pay attention to that little piece of dirt over in the Middle East. God has chosen that piece of land for His own. And the evil in this world doesn’t like it!
Things are playing out right in front of our eyes, if you care to see and know.
Father, thank You for allowing Your people to know the signs and times of the age. We pray for Israel and the peace of Jerusalem and that Your people will be ready for the sky to split open and look up when Jesus comes back as the Conquering King.
