For I am sure of this very thing, that the one who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:6 NET
Paul was in prison, not allowed to go and visit the church in Philipi. But although he was confined, he had this strong confidence that they would face uncertainty to the end.
This confidence wasn’t in their ability. It wasn’t in someone that Paul sent to help them. His confidence was in Jesus. He would do it!
Jesus is powerful to see the good work of salvation and sanctification to completion! Will you let Him?
Will you let Jesus have the priority in your life? Will you let Him guide you? Will you follow His ways?
These are all serious questions you must answer today.
You must be able to trust Jesus. You have to get to a point where you allow Him to be the ruler of your life, not just a “feel good” moment.
How do you trust Him? Do you know what He wants you to do right now? If not, pray and get in His Word. That is it!
You won’t find the answer on TV, radio, a magazine, even a counselor. This life is about getting personal with Jesus. Until you do that, you will play a game of hit and miss and never live the fullness of what He has for you!
It takes committmemt. It takes obedience. It takes discipline. It takes a desire to want His will more than anything else.
Lord, I desire You more than anything else. Help me to stay focused and to allow You to be Lord of my life.
