For this very night there stood before me an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I worship, and he said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar. And behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.’
Acts 27:23-24 ESV
Do you hear God’s voice? Why not?
The Bible is filled with God speaking to His people. One big example is Paul.
He spoke to Paul even when Paul was trying to do harm to Christian Believers. That was an audible account because God had to get Paul’s attention.
But it didn’t end there. God continued to speak to Paul. One specific time through a vision when Paul was on a ship. The ship was getting ready to go down and many on board feared for their life. But Paul shared that none would die.
And it happened like Paul said!
This moment spoke to all around that God is active in this world and He speaks and let’s His will be known to His people.
But you have to listen. And you need to be paying attention. And you need to identify the Word of God vs your own thinking or the words of those around you.
This comes with time. It comes with the time you spend with Jesus. The more you do, the more you identify what He wants and says.
If you are wanting to hear from God, then spend more time with Him. Give Him the time you waste on all the junk that is out there.
What are you waiting for?
Father, thank You for speaking and showing me Your will. Help me to listen carefully so Your voice is clear.
