“See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil.
Deuteronomy 30:15 ESV
I remember reading those choose your own adventure books when I was a kid. They were great. It was like having several stories in one book. I always would look ahead a few moves to make sure I chose correctly. I definitely didn’t want to end my adventure prematurely.
You get to choose your own adventure in life too! God allows you to choose how you will live, the decisions you will make and how you want to believe. Your choices make the difference!
Your choices will bring consequences. The word consequences isn’t a negative term. Consequences can be good or bad. The word consequences basically mean results.
Many “results” that we face can be dealt with on a day to day basis. They are hard, but we can survive.
But, it all gets very “real” when we get to the end of OUR adventure. At that point, God looks at your life, the way you lived and believed and choose for you. The way you lived here on Earth, determines the rest of your adventure then.
Listen! It’s not about being a good person! It’s not about paying your taxes, not ever killing anyone, having a positive attitude, saving stranded kittens or any of that. It all boils down to who Jesus Christ is to you. That’s it!
And the only right choice is that He is Your Lord and Savior. WHICH, means that you then align yourself with His Word and His ways! Who He is to you comes first!
One day the last page of your adventure will be turned. Choose wisely!
Father, thank You that You have given us free will to choose You. Who else is like You in Heaven or Earth? Let me always have the strength and grave to place You above everything and everyone else.
