Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord considered his response of faith as proof of genuine loyalty.
Genesis 15:6 NET
The saying goes, “seeing is believing.” But have you ever seen anything with your very own eyes, but know it is not true?
Tricks of illusion are based on letting you see action right in front of you, while other things are happening that you don’t see.
Seeing isn’t always believing with your eyes.
But believing is believing when it brings a change of heart and mind to the one who is believing.
When Jesus becomes your Lord and Savior, the proof of real belief is that you change.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “So then, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; what is old has passed away—look, what is new has come!”
The old you is gone and there is a new you that comes on the scene. People can see it in you because it is right in front of their eyes, but with no cheap tricks being pulled.
A true response of faith is evident in a changed life, a changed heart and a changed mind.
Are you changed?
Father, You see into the depths of our hearts and minds. Even when we fool everyone else, we can’t fool You. Help me to live boldly, always responding to You in faith.
