For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him. And even when you saw it, you did not afterward change your minds and believe him.

Are you looking to Jesus for a short blast of “feel-good?” If so, you’re in the wrong place. Jesus was all about changed lives, not temporary moments.
And a changed life is the sign that God is at work and the sign that Jesus said the religious leaders missed.
John the Baptist preached and those who were seeking repentance and forgiveness saw their chance at a new life. This change should have excited the religious leaders and caused them to see something special was going on.
But it didn’t!
They had their own ideas and they didn’t match up with Jesus.
Make sure that what you believe and take for the “Gospel-Truth” matches with what the Word of God says.
Choose to read His Word for yourself daily! It will change your life!
Father, thank You for Your Word. Help me to understand it by the power of the Holy Spirit.
