You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you.
Deuteronomy 4:2 ESV
Are you a responsible person? Are you someone that handles what you need to do with integrity? Yes?
And what about the Word of God? Do you know what the Word truly says?
There are plenty of ideas and interpretations of what the Word says. But you need to be responsible to truly know!
That means you can’t leave your knowledge of the Bible to social media, memes, what someone once told you or what you read on the internet. You are responsible for reading, understanding, studying and asking the Holy Spirit to illuminate the Word to you.
It’s too important not to take the Word of God seriously.
Moses gave the Israelites a warning to not take away or add from the Word. The Israelites ran into trouble when they didn’t follow the Word the way the Lord said to.
This is part of what every Believer needs to understand and make a part of their life. There is no compromise here.
Are you reading and studying the Word of God on a regular basis?
Father, thank You for Your Word which reveals how I need to live to be pleasing to You.
