looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, Titus 2:13 NASB
The other day I found something I’ve been missing by accident. I looked in a drawer and there it was. I didn’t need it, I just realized I didn’t know where it was.
But there have been times when I went looking for something and turned the whole house up looking for it. When I finally found it, it was such a relief.
As Believers, we are supposed to be looking for Jesus’ appearing, His Second Coming. But many times, in Christian circles, it feels like something we lost and didn’t realize it.
Believers can get so busy “doing life,” that we forget to look for His appearance. Yeah, we will say stuff like we are “occupying until He returns,” but really we mean we’ve become too busy and haven’t been thinking of eternity.
You see, when you are actively looking for His appearance, you have an immediacy of His return. Which means the Believer gets His reward, but there will be others who go to Hell.
The awareness of eternity should bring a desire to see others come to Jesus as we desire ourselves to be face to face with Him.
His appearance is soon. Will those you want next to you celebrating be there too?
Father, help me to be a light that shines for You and causes others to know that You are real, loving and merciful.
