Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not!
Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.”
Isaiah 35:4 ESV
Waiting is hard. Waiting is hard especially when you are in some sort of discomfort. Minutes turn to hours that turn in to days, etc…
It’s easy to let worry and anxiety sneak in when we’re waiting. Our minds start second guessing if what we’re waiting for is worth it, or if we should grab the bull by the horns and do it ourselves!
That’s what the enemy wants! The enemy wants you to head out and do it all yourself. That way you don’t stay in the will of God and get away from what He desires for you.
But the Word says to “be strong” and “fear not!” God is coming and He will save you!
Just trust in Him!
These are the words that Jesus was reminding John the Baptist of, through his disciples, when he was in prison.
John’s disciples were to tell John that the blind see, the lame walk.
But that is the verse in Isaiah right after this one. First, be strong and fear not. God is coming with His saving power!
Don’t fear! Don’t be anxious!
Father, thank You that this world isn’t all there is. And thank You that even here, You are active and moving in my life to accomplish Your will.
