Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you, always struggling on your behalf in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.
Colossians 4:12 ESV
If someone was praying for you, what would you want them to pray for?
Some would ask for blessings or a healing or just peace.
But if you were friends with Epaphras, he would have prayed that you would become mature and fully assured in all the will of God.
If the will of God is being put first in your life, then everything else will fall into place. It is an issue of alignment. You must align yourself with the things of God!
Things get off when you are not aligned with the will of God!
It’s easy to do. There are so many distractions out there and life comes fast.
But the Christians priority should always be to align with the will of God.
And that was why Epaphras was always praying for his brothers and sisters in Colossae. He wanted them to keep the will of God at the forefront of everything. He knew that when that happened, everything else would fall into place.
What about you? Are things out of order right now? You might need to align yourself in the will of God. This only comes through prayer and seeking the Lord.
Maybe it’s time to take prayer more serious!
Father, I pray that I would seek hard after You and desire to align my will to Yours more and more each and every day.
