“And you, Solomon my son, obey the God of your father and serve him with a submissive attitude and a willing spirit, for the Lord examines all minds and understands every motive of one’s thoughts. If you seek him, he will let you find him, but if you abandon him, he will reject you permanently.

What kind of advice would you pass on? Would you share how to make it in this world? Or how to save enough for retirement? Or how to enjoy life?
What about advice that has an eternal impact?
Would anyone listen to you? Would others recognize you and the way you live your life as an example of the advice you pass on or would they be empty words, along the lines of “do as I say, not as I do?”
King David passed along the best advice ever. He advised his son, Solomon, to follow and seek after God.
This advice serves us today AND in eternal life.
God rewards those that diligently seek Him.
After 40 years on the throne, David knew what would make his son successful as the King of Israel.
Is the advice to King Solomon good enough for you?
Yes it is! Seek God and everything else falls into place (see Matt.6:33).
Search the internet, read books, ask advice of smart successful people, but first and always, seek Him first.
This is the advice of a “man after God’s own heart” to the wisest man who ever lived. Selah
Father, in everything I do, everyday, help me to seek You first. You are my strength, my guide, my everything. Without You, I am empty and worthless. Without You, I am nothing.
