15 Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, 16 making the most of your time, because the days are evil.
Ephesians 5:15-16 NASB
We should wake up everyday with purpose. Time is one resource that is being used up, you need to make it count! Why not make your life count for something that will last forever, for all eternity? When we walk in a way that is pleasing to the Lord, our lives make an eternal impact!
This means that I need to let some things go. Things that might provide a temporary happiness. That doesn’t mean that I’m boring and never have any fun. But I should prioritize! Aren’t there things that would bring happiness and joy that would also further and bless the Kingdom of God?
I also need to let the things that bother me go. I shouldn’t dwell on things that I have no control of or that would cause me to worry and despair so much that it causes me to shut down and not be effective for the Kingdom.
We all have moments. But they should be just that, moments, not days, weeks, a life time!
There is a world out there waiting for you to make a difference in Jesus’ name!
Things are going to come up and get our focus off of God. But I need to be so aware that I play a part in the Kingdom of God that I need to snap out of it and get back on track! This happens by remaining consistent in God.
Time is short and there are people out there who need hope. They will only find it in a relationship with Jesus. That is more important than anything else I can do here on this Earth.
Lord, I want to play a part in spreading the news of Your Kingdom. I want others to know the joy and peace that only comes from You. Help me to walk in the Spirit and to focus on what is truly important.
