As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew and were not walking with Him anymore. John 6:66 NASB
Jesus had just finished saying that He was the Bread of Life. People couldn’t understand it. It was spiritual. They were thinking in the flesh!
As a result, many followers stopped following Him. It must have been a mass exodus because He turned to His disciples and asked them if they were leaving too.
But, they had seen too much. They had heard the Words that touched and stimulated more than just their minds. There was no way they could turn back after all of this.
What about you? Have you turned back?
Or have you been convinced without a shadow of a doubt, that living for Jesus is the only way to live? Have you settled that once and for all?
Hopefully you have the same response as Peter, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life. We have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God.”
And that’s it right there! Jesus has the words of eternal life. That’s from people who saw, heard and experienced it up close!
Are you experiencing Him up close? Why not? He has words of life for you. Draw close to Him, He will draw close to You. He’s already done so much, even giving His life for You!
Father, thank You for allowing Your people to know the truth. Help us be a conduit that brings people closer to You.
