“Son of man, when a land sins against me by acting faithlessly, and I stretch out my hand against it and break its supply of bread and send famine upon it, and cut off from it man and beast, even if these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver but their own lives by their righteousness, declares the Lord God.
Ezekiel 14:13-14 ESV
If you grew up in church, going to Sunday School, you might have heard about Noah, Daniel, and Job. All three of these men were Mighty Men of God. They sought after God’s favor, prayed and God moved mightily in their lives. Their stories are faith-filled.
But God told the Prophet Ezekiel that when people go too far from God and God chooses to discipline them, that even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were in the land interceeding for them, they wouldn’t change His mind. They would escape, but no one else would.
This goes to say that there is a point where God has enough.
God in His mercy, has sent His Son, Jesus Christ to make a way for us to be forgiven and sanctified from the life of sin we were in. But receiving His forgiveness is a decision that we make to accept Him and turn from our sin. When you do that, you make Jesus Your Lord and Savior and align yourself to His way.
If you choose not to live for Him, that is your decision. But just know that there is a point where God has enough. At that point, where we are in the Biblical narrative, Jesus comes back for those who are His. Those who are not His won’t get a second chance.
What’s keeping you from being ALL IN with Jesus?
Father, thank You for time. Thank You for time so that others might make a decision for You and choose Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
