Surely the righteous shall give thanks to your name; the upright shall dwell in your presence.
Psalms 140:13 ESV
Have you ever made judgments about someone just based on their behavior? We try not to judge, but we still do it. And I’m not talking solely about negative judgments. We can judge positively too, although we don’t call it a judgment. We put a more positive spin on it.
So, what would others say about you? How would they judge your behavior? Do you have different behavior when you are at work? on the weekends? with your family?
But most importantly, what would people say about your relationship with Jesus?
Do others see you living boldly for Him? Do they know that you make decisions based on your faith? Would they see a life that honors and glorifies God? Do they ever hear you give thanks to God?
The Psalmist said, “Surely the righteous shall give thanks…” There is an emphasis on the righteous giving thanks! Surely this happens!
Are you counted in the righteous today? Will you be someone who gives thanks to God? Will others see it plainly?
How can you glorify God today?
Father, let my life glorify You today and every day. Help others identify the joy in my heart is because of You.
