God saw that the people of Ninevah made a complete 180 and started crying out to Him. That is what God wants in the first place. He is looking for people who put Him first above everything else.
A life of worship is a total surrender to your will and desire. It is making haste to worship Him and allowing Him to direct your steps.
Our acts of worship are not just based on WHO we SAY we worship. Our worship is seen and known by the way we conduct our lives and what we place first in our life.
Worship should never be a chore or something that is done because you are “supposed” to do it. We worship because we love the Father and want to be where He is.
What greater honor could we give to the Lord than to show Him how much we love Him, by giving Him our most precious resource, time.
We are to set our minds on what is above. We are supposed to focus on Jesus in our life, how do we honor Him, worship Him, live for Him…
It is all very simple, maybe too simple for us. Worship God, kneel before Him, submit to His desires, listen to Him…we want to make it hard. But God wants us to submit to Him and place Him first. He is a loving God.
The place where God dwells has to be a pretty awesome place. It is a place that you can’t ever forget and one you won’t want to leave.
The Lord isn’t interested in a big show. He wants true worship, true praise. He wants it all. He’s God. That’s it, period!
