He wanted His listeners to be concerned about the second death.
As Christians, we should be pulling them off the path of destruction, showing them a better way.
Have you ever thought about Heaven? Have you ever really put thought to and searched the Scriptures for what it takes to get there and what it will be like?
When we breathe our last, if we belong to Jesus and our names are written in the Book of Life, we will go to Heaven and experience what this Scripture says.
Your life is payable on death. You can choose to be your own Lord, ruler of your domain, or you can let Jesus. He already paid for it all. Let Him take care of it!
One day, those who have given their life to the Lord will be in a new heaven. There, everything changes. There, everything and everyone will be right with God.
Many people build up their bodies. They train, eat right, etc… That is not wrong or bad. But growing spiritually has more value in this life and the next.
You don’t want to be chaff! You don’t want the people you care about to be chaff! There is time today, but we are not promised the next minute, the next breath.
The Christian life should be lived out purposefully. Your life in Christ should not be an after-thought or be treated like a hobbie. After all, we are talking about eternal life here.
