Glorify God • Magnify Him in this World!

Rebuking the Devourer

Scripture
Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes,” says the Lord of hosts.

Malachi 3:11 NASB

Observation
The Prophet Malachi was relating a message from God to the people. They were not living in reverence for the things of God, including not tithing and thus making sure ministry continued uninterrupted in the temple.

God promised that when the tithe was coming in and ministry happened, that He would rebuke the devourer.

God is actively paying attention to our lives. When we live the way we are supposed to, He blesses us. When we dont, he allows the devorer to do his work, to get our attention back on Him.

Application
Do you feel like you’re not getting anywhere? Are you always playing catch-up? It might be that you are not prioritizing what is most important, God first in your life.

When we truly put God first, He makes sure that we are blessed. God loves to bless His people.

Take time to reflect and reorder your life if necessary!

Prayer
Lord, thank You that You are active in our lives. We pray that You would look down and see that we truly desire You more than anything else this world has to offer.

Peace
Todd
