Glorify God • Magnify Him in this World!

Placing Glory

Scripture
Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but he was born blind so that the acts of God may be revealed through what happens to him.
John 9:3 NET

Observation
The disciples saw a man who was blind and asked Jesus who had sinned, his parents or him?

In those times, and sometimes still today, people thought that sickness and other negative things happened to people because of sin. Although sometimes the consequences of our sin brings bad things to our lives, Jesus had a different take.

Jesus said that sickness and other things that we would consider bad or “judgement” provide and opportunity to glorify God.

Everyday brings opportunities to light. Do you allow those things to be the jumping off point to glorify God?

Don’t just worship the Lord when everything is going well. Worship Him when things look bleak. Because…you never know how the Lord wants to use your situation to bring glory to His name.

Application
Our lives speak. We might not say anything with words, but we say plenty with the way we act and the way we respond.

The way we handle situations tells the world in what we trust. When you truly trust in the Lord, everything else is secondary. Nothing compares to Him.

If you don’t trust the Lord completely, more than likely, you don’t have enough experience with Him moving in your life. This comes from spending time with Him, knowing His Word and obeying his commands.

You will start to see Him grow bigger in your life everyday, if you commit your ways to Him.

Prayer
Lord, help me to live a life that brings You glory, even if that means I don’t use words.

Peace
Todd
