27 Let them shout for joy and rejoice, who favor my vindication;
And let them say continually, “TheLord be magnified,
Who delights in the prosperity of His servant.”
28 And my tongue shall declare Your righteousness
And Your praise all day long.
Psalms 35:27-28 NASB
Having friends on your side is important. There is great comfort in knowing when you’re going through a rough time, that the Lord puts people in your life to encourage you and lift you up. Look for them.
It’s even better when your friends turn the attention not on you and your circumstances, but help you to praise and worship God in the midst of what you’re going through. You are blessed because you are a child of God.
I should seek friends who are going to encourage me in the Lord. I should surround myself with people who will help me and remind me about the things of God when things get rough and I tend to focus on what is around me instead of the things of God. The type of friend that would do this is more valuable than gold.
Lord, bring people into my life that will help encourage me when things aren’t so good. Let these people know You and help them to know Your Word that would cause me to look towards You.
But also, help me to be the type of friend that would do that for someone else. Help me to speak life and purpose into their life when they are beaten up by their situations and circumstances.
