15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:15-16 NASB
While Jesus was on Earth, during His Earthly ministry, He was fully man. He knows what it is like to live in this “flesh suit.” And although He didn’t sin, He can identify with us when are tempted.
Since He understands, He knows that His people will need to receive mercy and grace at times. This He offers free to you.
You only need to draw close to Him. He will take care of the rest.
But when we do draw near, we should do it in confidence. We shouldn’t be unsure or have the mentality that we are just going to try it. Have confidence that the only answer, the only way is through Jesus. Settle it once and for all!
I go to the Lord when Im in need, but do I do it for mercy and grace? Sometimes I beat myself up. Sometimes I dwell on things too long. Shouldn’t I just go the Lord to receive His mercy and His grace? Shouldn’t that speak louder and bring relief more than anything else?
When I do this, it allows me to move to the next thing the Lord has for me, instead of staying to long trying to figure it out myself. He knows exactly what I need.
Lord, thank You for the access to come boldly to You and receive mercy and grace. Help me to turn quickly to You in those times when I need You.
